Last updated: 29 October 2026. Because we only use what the site needs to work, we do not show a cookie banner.

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in the same way. The law requires us to tell you what we use and to ask for consent for anything that is not strictly necessary.

What this website stores

  • Your colour theme — if you use the light/dark switch, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage under the name naace-theme. It never leaves your device and is not used to identify you. If you never use the switch, nothing is stored.
  • Security cookies from our host — the site is delivered by Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell people apart from automated traffic and protect the site from attacks. This is strictly necessary and is not used for tracking.

What we do not use

We do not use analytics, advertising, social media tracking or any other non-essential cookies on this website.

Third-party services

Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address, as with any web request; Google Fonts does not set cookies. You can read more in Google's privacy policy.

The member login and the online EdTech Review Framework run on a separate site, erf.naace.org.uk, which uses its own cookies to keep you signed in.

Managing cookies

You can delete cookies and local storage, or block them altogether, in your browser's settings. Blocking them will not stop this website working; you will simply see the theme that matches your device's setting.
